A glorious colour. Deep, rich claret red. The photos do not do it justice - much darker!!
This is new to the nursery. It has taken me ages to build up stock for sale. It is such a rich, beautiful variety that I did not want to risk propagating from seed - should those busy bees do any cross-pollination. This is to keep the line pure.
This herbaceous perennial is easy to grow and features stunning, stiff and upright, clump-forming habits with palmate, deeply lobed dark green leaves. Masterwort thrives in slightly neglected areas and does well in partially shaded and cooler spots. While I have successfully grown them in full sun, they require adequate watering, as they do not tolerate dry conditions.
Graceful and floriferous, masterwort is an excellent choice for both dry and fresh bouquets. Additionally, it attracts pollinators to the garden, making it a valuable addition to any landscape.
