Winter Hours 2026

The nursery is CLOSED for the winter. I will not be dispatching Orders between 25th May and 27th July.

I am taking a winter break for a few weeks.

You are most welcome to order anyhow, but please note that your order will not be dispatched until closer to August.

The plants listed on this page are capable of and do best growing in damper areas, spots that have a reliable source of soil moisture and in the shady places in your garden.  Everything likes some sun at some part of the day and these do too as long as it generally is not the sun at the most severe time of the day.  These plants are not suitable for growing in ponds - pond edges are OK but they do not like their roots below water.
