A rather bizarre fellow with an unusual form. A collector's plant.
Dark green leaves have narrow cream margins and grow into a very impressive and upright erect form. The leaves appear to be tightly folded - folded in prayer.
Mature clumps either in the garden or in a large ceramic pot are amazing and make a quite a topic of conversation.
Reaches a height of 30 - 45cm. Has 45cm scapes with lavender flowers in late summer.
Hosta like a moist rich soil. Prefer partial shade and being protected from the heat of the day.
