This is a dwarf variety of Delphinium and is different from the traditional tall spiky Delphiniums. This strain forms a low, bushy 30cm round mound of lacy green leaves and produces flower spikes 25-30cm in height. Planted in groups it does produce a magnificent display as it flowers continually for all of summer.
Plants bear loose sprays of single, spurred sky-blue to deep midnight-blue flowers on 25-30cm spikes throughout the summer.
Ideal for containers, the rock garden and for edging the sunny border. Does well in full sun in soil that does not get too dry.
Remove faded flower heads regularly to encourage repeat blooming.
