This plant is a must-have for anyone who loves anything pretty. It falls into the categories of Wild Flower, Cottage Garden, and Cut Flower. Such is its vast uses and whimsical delight!
Planted in a sunny spot with adequate moisture (but not wet), they will reach a height of approximately 75-100cm.
This plant forms many branches covered in the prettiest of soft red blooms. Very hard to describe the colour, the photo is fairly exact. Fire King is a good name.
These blooms have a vase life of over a week. The flower blooms are anything from 3-5cm across.
Be sure to let them seed so you have an ever-increasing clump!
These plants will be flowering before Christmas.
Hardy and easy to grow. Frost hardy - these plants have been grown outside here in the deep south, and the frost has not killed them! Now ready for an open garden somewhere else!
