The one I grow has deep purple flowers with a yellow centre and no variations to the colour. This photo of mine does not depict the depth of colour - it is much darker. I will get a better photo another day. Late on a winter's day in the puring rain did not work that well!
Loves partial shade, full shade and the full sun.
Flowers from late winter throughout spring.
Grows as a clump, reaching a height and spread of 15cm in height.
