Woodland Anemone.
A real cutie! Pretty and dainty, powder blue flowers in the early spring.
Makes a beautiful show, mass planted under trees. Thrives in woodland conditions but does equally as well out in the open garden as long as the soil does not get too dry.
Only grows 15cm high, and has a carpeting habit. Extremely hardy and very easy to grow.
These photos are from in my own garden.
Please note that the mature plant is still a small Alpine plant and dormant in winter or if planted in a situation that is too dry. This plant has corms and these will soon form a matt of root. Will quickly multiply up in it's happy place.
