This Frame with Floor Stand allows you stitch wherever you wish, even in the garden. When you stop working simply move the floor stand with the unfinished work out of the way. The height and angle adjustment is very easy. If you wish to insert your frame at an angle, this is possible with a second hole provided.
There are many good reasons to use an embroidery hoop or frame. Embroideries stitched on a frame stay cleaner as they are handled less. With the fabric stretched smoothly and tightly on a frame you get a better picture of the area you are working. In counted work it is a great advantage to see the fabric threads clearly. The stitch tension is easier to regulate on taut fabric. The end result is considerably better if the embroidery has been worked in a frame. Intricate embroideries such as surface stitchery, pulled thread work, shadow embroidery, Hardanger and Elizabethan, shouldn't be worked without a frame.
The basic principle of the round embroidery frames is that the two wooden rings fit one inside the other to keep a section of fabric stretched. The inner ring is rigid. The diameter of the outer ring can be adjusted with a metal screw to allow the frame to hold different weights of fabric.
