Candelabra Primrose.
Bright purple
flowers with a yellow centre, borne in whorls on a
60cm stem which are starting to flower now and will
continue to flower for another 6 weeks at least.
They do well
in either full sun or partial shade, tolerate
acidic soil and plenty of compost. They do love wet
feet but will grow well in any soil that does not
dry out.
Mass plantings make
a magnificent display. They are perfect cottage
garden plants, look great in borders or bogs, and
are especially effective woodland plants.
Extremely hardy and very easy to grow. They are a
plant that live a long time and left to seed they
will soon multiply and give you many years of
pleasure!
